Rails privacy policy
Effective October 2026. Rails is a service operated by Zytun LLC ("we").
What we collect
- Your phone number, and the messages and photos you send us.
- Details of the items you sell or buy: descriptions, prices, orders, shipping and tracking.
- Your name, email and shipping address. Identity and bank details for payouts are collected and held by our payment provider, Stripe.
- Basic device and usage information from the Rails app.
How we use it
To identify, price, list and sell your items; to process orders, shipping, refunds and payouts; to send the texts and notifications described in our terms; to prevent fraud; and to answer your questions.
Who we share it with
- Companies that run parts of Rails for us: messaging (Twilio, Linq), store and checkout (Shopify), payments and identity checks (Stripe), shipping labels (EasyPost, USPS), hosting and storage (Cloudflare, Neon), and item recognition and price lookups (Anthropic, SerpApi).
- Marketplaces where we list your item, such as eBay and Google, receive the listing: photos, description and price.
- A buyer receives what is needed to deliver an order.
We do not sell personal information.
Text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep records for as long as we need them to run Rails and to meet legal and tax obligations. Reply STOP to stop texts. To see or delete your data, email umer@zytun.com.
